Role Overview:
Our Mart division plays a crucial role in our mission to provide convenience with a great variety of products to customers with just a few taps. We are looking for a seasoned and strategic Senior Business Development Manager to lead our efforts in building and nurturing key partnerships that drive the success of our Mart business.
The Senior Business Development Manager – Strategic Partnerships (Mart) will be responsible for leading a team of Business Development Managers to achieve outstanding business performance. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to manage and grow key partnerships that are vital to the Mart business. This talent will also be responsible for shaping the overall direction and strategy of the Mart division, ensuring it aligns with the company’s broader goals.
What you’ll do :
- Lead the Business Development Team: Manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers, guiding them to meet and exceed performance targets and KPIs.
- Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic direction for the Mart business, ensuring alignment with company objectives and adapting to market trends and customer needs.
- Drive Business Performance: Oversee the overall performance of the Mart business, implementing strategies to drive growth, profitability, and market share.
- Manage Key Partnerships: Take direct responsibility for managing relationships with major partners.
- Develop and Execute Strategic Initiatives: Identify and execute new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and initiatives that enhance the competitiveness and profitability of the Mart business.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including Marketing, Operations, Product, and Finance, to ensure aligned execution of strategies and initiatives.
- Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the Mart division, including budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring strong top-line growth with sustainable bottom-line results.
- Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report on business performance, market opportunities, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
What you’ll need :
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience in leading and developing a high-performing team, with a focus on achieving strategic goals.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to think strategically and drive the direction of the business in alignment with overall company objectives.
- Partnership Management: Extensive experience in managing and growing key strategic partnerships, particularly in the retail or on-demand service industries.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to make sense of complex data and translate it into actionable business strategies.
- Communication Skills: Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
- High Ownership and Responsibility: Demonstrated ability to take full ownership of business outcomes and drive initiatives from concept through to execution.
- Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the on-demand services market, retail partnerships.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on delivering results.
