Body Shop Technician Duties:
- Provides full-body restoration and paint to trucks involved in collisions
- Performs frame work and frame pulling
- Performs fiber glass repairs
- Welds aluminum, steel, and stainless steel
- Repairs trailers, side rails, side sheets
- Repairs and replace rooves and roll up doors
- Operates and maintains tools and equipment in a safe manner
- Performs other shop maintenance duties as assigned
Diesel Mechanic Technician Duties:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and general reconditioning of equipment on Class 1 through Class 8 vehicles
- Diagnose, document, and repair engine fault codes (Company supplied OEM software) following proper warranty procedures
- Repair / Replace brakes, steering components, suspension, and perform alignments
- Replace clutches & transmissions
We have been cross training and open to someone with a strong Body Shop background working on tractors and trailers or a strong Diesel Technician who is open to expanding their knowledge base to the other side.
Requirements
Body Shop experience:
- Prior experience as a Body Shop Technician working on tractors and trailers
- Free range of motion in hands and arms to work with small parts and in small spaces
- Attention to detail, customer service, and critical thinking skills
- Ability to us a wide range of tools and equipment to assess damage and determine how to make repairs
- Ability to work 2nd shift: Monday through Friday 2pm-10:30pm
Diesel Tech experience:
- Prior experience as a fleet mechanic, diesel mechanic, or heavy equipment mechanic
- Experience or formal training diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 1-7 diesel tractors
- A valid CDL, or the ability to acquire a CDL with the assistance of our trainer
- Hand tools
- Ability to work 2nd shift: Monday through Friday 2pm-10:30pm
- Experience working on Refrigeration Units is desired, but not required
