<p>Do you want to take on a pivotal role in delivering complex civil engineering solutions, often in challenging and logistically demanding environments? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.</p><p>RJ McLeod is seeking a Design Management Engineer to join our team based in Northern Scotland, supporting the design management of major infrastructure projects across our renewable energy, highways, and marine portfolio.</p><p><strong><em>So, what are we looking for?</em></strong></p><p>You will be working on several projects across the Energy Sector including Wind Farms, Substations and Grid Reinforcement with project values typically ranging upwards from £20m. </p><p>It is essential that you can work in a collaborative manner with internal and external project stakeholders, actively managing the design process for large scale construction projects, ensuring efficient and accurate information flow between all project participants.</p><p>You will have the ability to identify and develop value engineering proposals leading to efficient design solutions and assist with obtaining consents and permissions from external stakeholders.</p><p><strong>You’ll also need to be able to work at pace.</strong> Our business moves quickly, and we need to keep up with the demand. Flexibility, agility, and resilience are key attributes for this role.</p><p>Along with demonstrable delivery experience, additional skills and experience that would enhance your application: </p><ul> <li>Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.</li> <li>Experience in civil engineering projects, preferably in renewable energy infrastructure, highways, or marine construction</li> <li>Experience with design aspects of civil engineering works and familiarity with design standards</li> <li>A level of experience of engaging with external stakeholders such as SEPA, NatureScot, Planning Authorities.</li></ul><p><strong>Desirable Experience</strong></p><ul> <li>Understanding of heavy civils construction techniques</li> <li>Familiarity with MCHW or National Grid specifications</li> <li>Knowledge of Scottish civil engineering sector </li> <li>Working knowledge of NEC3/4 contracts</li></ul><p><strong>Please note:</strong> Due to the nature of the location, a valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel to remote sites is required.</p><p>If you're ready for a challenge and want to make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you!</p><p><strong>About us….</strong></p><p>RJ McLeod is one of Scotland's leading civil engineering contractors, with extensive experience in renewable energy, highways, and marine infrastructure projects.
