Category Manager

If so, ManpowerGroup Greece, on behalf of our client, HERACLES Group, member of Holcim, Greece’s leading company in the field of building materials, is seeking a Category Manager for Equipment, Spares and Consumables for Production and Operating Units.

📌 Location: Attica

📍 Working Model: On-site

✔️ Reports to: Head of Procurement

Requirements

 Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research; propose new suppliers and products.
• Define and support category strategy implementation.
• Perform spend analytics and internal demand analysis.
• Liaise with stakeholders for specifications and evaluations.
• Conduct SWOT analysis; identify procurement levers.
• Highlight risks and prepare mitigation plans.
• Execute procurement activities; run RFPs and negotiate terms.
• Discuss and agree on contractual terms with suppliers.
• Ensure achievement of annual targets and PPIs.
• Promote digitalization, manage key supplier relationships, and ensure compliance.

Qualification:

• Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical) or in other discipline with strong experience in procurement within the heavy industry
• Post graduate studies on technical discipline or MBA will be considered an asset.
• Minimum of five (5) years of working experience as Senior/ Category Buyer in a well- organized procurement function, preferably in the construction sector or the manufacturing heavy industry
• Proven track record in supplier management & Market knowledge of technical categories (Goods and Services)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications
• Knowledge and proven usage of SAP
