Low Latency Linux support team is looking for a seasoned Linux DevOps System Administrator to implement and maintain the next version of our large scale platform. The existing environment consists of a mixture of open source and in-house written Perl and Python components which will be modernized and replaced to ensure the continued delivery of a stable and secure infrastructure with increased agility and flexibility.
Low Latency Infrastructure support team is responsible for maintaining and improving Linux infrastructure for the firm's distributed systems. The group is involved in evaluation, certification, integration, and maintenance of numerous products, including hardware, Red Hat Linux, configuration management, system services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.), and a variety of in-house developed tools.
Role Profile and Responsibilities
- You are a self-starter, able to act like an owner, prioritize requests, collaborate with others, and manage ambiguity.
- We are looking for an Infrastructure SA with Python development experience.
- You will have experience of managing, deploying and debugging large scale production environments.
- You will be able to write secure, testable, robust code.
- You will be part of a global, follow the sun, on call rota for production issues..
- You will be joining a global team of highly accomplished engineers, developers, and operations specialists.
- You will write and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and procedures.
- You will have experience with Change Management and Problem management practices.
- You will participate in open forums with the global team to discuss projects.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- 5+ years of Enterprise Level Experience in Large Distributed Environment
- Knowledge of Linux Systems - Hardware and Automated Build including Automated Lights Out Management
- Must be comfortable building systems from scratch, changing configuration and amending code-paths and debugging core-dumps
- Strong understanding of kernel bypass and how it relates to latency sensitive devices.
- Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP, Experience with networking and security concepts, implementation, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with monitoring tools and solutions
- Proven analytical and troubleshooting skills in a highly visible faced paced enterprise environment.
- Coding experience with Python/Perl And shell scripting.
- Experience working on shared code bases using best practices in CI / Source Control / Release Management and Change Control
Skills Desired
- Solid understand of Linux Kernel internals performance tuning
- Experience with application integration
- Trading System Application Configuration / Deployment / Management Experience
- You have worked with FPGA lifecycle tools (Vivado, Quartus etc)
- Zeek or other pcap-based network analytics packages for troubleshooting
- Experience implementing and support Kerberos
