JIRA Administrator

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Create JIRA projects, queries, and reports.
• Install and configure plugins and deploy to extend JIRA capabilities, make dashboards for JIRA Connect add-ons, configure custom fields, support JIRA configurations.
• Design custom JIRA workflow for different issues types to assist in Automation of provisioning, build & deploy servers and applications as well as other continuous integration workflows.
• Develop JIRA templates, complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes and notification schemes in JIRA.
• Experience in using/extending REST Services
• Responsible for maintenance, administration, upgrade, and enhancements to JIRA and integrations with other tools or plugins.
• Coordinate with primary JIRA Administrator to plan, schedule, implement, and communicate JIRA & plug-in upgrades in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Monitor JIRA databases and copy data from PROD to TEST instance, when requested
• Work with stakeholders and clients to design and deliver JIRA workflows to meet the stated and unstated business requirements
• Codes, tests, and debugs new software / applications or makes enhancements to existing software / applications and provide solutions using JIRA
• Understanding of Web Technologies (Cloud/Amazon Web Services, Jira, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, Java)
• Configuring & managing development & testing sandboxes
• Develops and maintains integrations between ITSM tool like Service Now and other systems
• Understand tools ITIL support framework to ensure strong understanding of processes
• Create logic flow charts and process diagrams based on client need
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across organization, gather requirements to develop, and deliver custom templates, workflows (automation)

Qualifications required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, CS, MIS, or commensurate work experience in a related field.
• Linux, DB administration, JVM tuning.
• Ability to create complex JIRA workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, notification schemes.
• Support, compile and troubleshoot Atlassian tools.
• Work with stakeholders on customizing JIRA workflow.
• Plan, evaluate, deploy, operate and maintain tools to suit the expanding user-base.
• Minimum 5 years of Experience in JIRA administration and development in an enterprise environment
• Strong work experience in VB Script, Java, JavaScript, XML, JSP, SQL, PERL, Python and should have utilized this skill set in multiple projects
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle; preferably with Agile Kanban/Scrum
• Good Verbal and Written communication skills
