PURPOSE OF ROLE:
As a User Experience Researcher, you will be primarily responsible generating inspiring and actionable insight to help improve our customers' experiences. You will work in a team alongside other UX professionals, who are leading the user-centric product transformation of a previously traditional financial services business. It is an exciting role that will make a real difference within an industry that is ripe for better design thinking and a user-centered focus. You will be responsible for uncovering opportunities to further improve our understanding of both current and prospective users in order to create simple, intuitive but high-performance user experiences. Day to day, you’ll be working alongside UX Designers, UX Copywriters, UX Researchers, Analysts, Product Owners, Product Managers, Developers, Testers, Customer Service Advisers and stakeholders across the business. Your research will need to inform, influence and support cross functional teams in their quest to understand more about our customers, which in turn will be used to generate ideas and highlight opportunities for our roadmaps that will improve the user experience.

Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Embed user research into our discovery process working with Research, Onsite Analytics and the Product Owners.
* Deliver both in-house and 3rd party research workshops including set up, recruitment, moderation, data collection, analysis and debrief.
* Conduct primary and secondary user research.
* Conduct and evaluate quantitative and qualitative research.
* Perform market and ethnographic research.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate research topics.
* Plan and implement user research strategies and methodologies.
* Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations.
* Perform usability studies with consumers.
* Ask questions, gather data, and analyze data.
* Use a diverse set of UX research tools.
* Provide support, guidance and coaching to designers, copy writers, product managers and UX/UI to upskill them to run their own research techniques.
