About the role
We are looking for an experienced Creative and strategic lead to support Brunswick Creative drive the growth of our business in the Gulf region. The role will operate out of our Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices with a brief covering the broader Gulf region. We will support an international candidate with relocation.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape our growing offer. Using your creative communication and campaign experience, you will seek out opportunities (from existing Brunswick clients and new-to-Group) to use creative (design, film and digital) to help our clients communicate with key stakeholders.
You will be a specialist in creative strategy or film production (desired), as well as business development, with a broader skillset across the other aspects of the role. You will be entrepreneurial, with excellent client handling and client development skills, as well as an intellectual curiosity to understand our clients and create compelling narratives and tools.
Key responsibilities
Creative strategy
- Apply intellect, strategic and creative thinking to client issues, and give strategic and tactical advice based on detailed knowledge of the client.
- Understand key corporate communications channels and an ability to connect insight to client requirements.
- Create campaigns that spark conversations between people, brands, governments, and businesses.
- Develop clear, consistent, and compelling messaging that aligns with client objectives and resonates with the appropriate audiences.
- Be a senior point of escalation on client issues.
- Be responsible for providing rounded, appropriate responses from the client-facing teams.
Business development
- Focus on developing our existing corporate brand, sustainability, employee engagement and marketing communications offers and advise clients at Board level on award-winning campaign strategies for each.
- Develop new business in IMEA and internationally, working with UK and US teams where needed.
- Create, develop, and lead winning pitches with project management and design teams.
Client Management
- Lead the client portfolio for Creative, supporting the broader Brunswick leadership team and client leads.
- Understand clients’ needs and strategies, determine their communication requirements and write briefs and proposals to showcase thinking.
- Manage client expectations and take responsibility for key deliverables.
- Help ensure a consistent experience across the different offers.
- Ensure that the needs and opportunities of existing clients are mapped, the key individuals identified, and development plans are in place.
Internally
- Team leader of the creative team, ensuring they are suitably resourced, supported, engaged, and working to their strengths across client accounts
- Nurture, coach, and encourage team members from within the Creative team and broader Brunswick teams.
- Brief teams intelligently, giving them strategic themes to develop and inspire a creative spark, direct to stay on brief and ensure there is an ‘idea’.
- Maintain training/mentoring to continually develop team members
- Be involved in ensuring that resourcing around project teams is appropriate while balancing the commercial needs of the business.
- Working with the creative lead, oversee creative development to ensure all outputs align with the brief.
- Withstand high pressure situations/workload.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Candidates will have or be:
- Proven experience as a Strategy Director, Executive Producer or Business Lead within the corporate communications industry, with experience in creating campaigns.
- Comfortable delivering campaigns across all mediums and
- Take full ownership of a project and be able to clearly define, communicate and execute your vision.
- Experience in effectively project managing multiple accounts and workstreams at pace, ideally on a global scale.
- Proven communication and presentation skills to credibly represent yourself, the work, and the firm internally and to
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask in high-pressure situations.
- The ability to operate effectively in a commercial, self-starting, and fast-paced environment.
- Able to build strong and effective relationships and enjoy networking (internally and externally).
- A strong understanding of the traditional and digital media landscape in the Gulf.
- Highly organised and can prioritise, juggle multiple projects and delegate effectively.
- The desire to lead by example, work collaboratively and actively share learning.
- Adept at creative problem-solving, encouraging and supporting others to do the same.
- At least 12 years of experience in the creative field.
- Strong network of creative contacts in the region, for Gulf-based candidates.
- Arabic desired but not required.
