Role Summary

• Responsibilities: You will be involved in all stages of a wide range of creative projects for our clients within the healthcare sector, from the initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity
• Salary: A monthly stipend of £1,950

About the Role

This position is ideal for Design students or recent graduates who are looking to gain an insight into life in an agency or commercial environment. The internship will provide a valuable opportunity to get hands-on design experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

As a Digital Design Intern at Costello Medical, you will support with a wide range of digital projects, from initial concept development to full production, allowing for real autonomy and creativity. You work closely with internal colleagues and clients to understand the project brief, providing technical insight and guidance where required, and will produce materials to high standards of clarity and presentation.

Examples include the design, maintenance, and testing of new and existing website and web applications, the creation of interactive content for conferences and events, the production of animation/video, and the creation of digital marketing materials such as HTML emails, web banners and social media graphics. Career Prospects After the Internship

As a Digital Design Intern in the Creative team, you will have the option to select an internship length of either 3 or 6 months, enabling you to develop your skills whilst learning from experienced members of the team. Additionally, there is the opportunity for strong candidates to apply for the Digital Designer role and join our expanding team on a permanent basis. 100% of our Creative interns apply for a permanent role at Costello Medical.

Requirements

About You

This internship is suited to recent graduates as well as current students who are permitted to complete full time internships either during the holidays or via a placement as a part of their degree. We also welcome applications from those looking to start their career in digital design.

No previous experience in the scientific industry is required, however, we are looking for individuals with a genuine interest in healthcare and an eagerness to learn about new areas of science. An interest in applying digital design to the healthcare industry would be an advantage.

Essential requirements for the role are:

• A degree level or higher qualification in a design-related discipline (minimum 2.1 or expected 2.1), in addition to a highly innovative portfolio. We welcome applications from candidates with a diverse range of specialisms, including but not limited to; Digital Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, Digital Communications, Media, and Art
• Experience with UI/UX design for a wide range of digital channels
• Technical knowledge of email/web/application development
• Working knowledge of Figma (or a strong desire to learn), Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Familiarity with other software in the Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous
• Exceptional organisational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• A high level of productivity and the flexibility to respond to changing deadlines
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build robust and sustainable working relationships
• Practical experience with HTML and CSS, as well as familiarity with digital marketing, is desirable but not essential for this role

The Recruitment Process

Our recruitment process includes a telephone interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team. If successful, you will be invited to an interview, which includes a portfolio review, with senior members of our Creative team. Our standard recruitment process lasts around 2 to 4 weeks, however this can be adapted if necessary.
