JOB GOAL/PURPOSE
Provide professional expertise and leadership in the development, delivery, and support of Alumni, Advancement, Community Outreach/Relations, Communications, Marketing and Publications at ISB for all aspects of the school community in Beijing and globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Marketing and Communications Manager works under the Director of Admissions and Marketing, and is responsible for the following:
Marketing and Community Strategy

Monitor and analyze Marketing data and work to determine trends, identify appropriate Marketing and Communication vision, strategies, and tools to reach set goals and targets

Work with consultancy to formulate and carry out marketing campaigns that capture mission-aligned families

Maximize the school’s digital media presence, seeking opportunities to increase visibility and ensuring the coherence of key messages

Manage digital communication platforms and optimising their use, including understanding how they serve different stakeholders and purposes

Keep the Director of Admissions and Communications well informed of strategy, action plans, and progress toward defined goals, and work closely toward alignment with the Admissions Manager

Oversee the design and coordination of internal and external marketing / community relations strategy and materials
Branding and Positioning

Collaborate and work closely with other members of the Admissions, Advancement, Alumni, Communications, Marketing, and Publications (Community Relations team) to frame, develop, and deliver a consistent, accurate, articulate, and positive representation of ISB

Initiate, develop, and produce new community relations and marketing materials and products to deliver the ISB message and to communicate with ISB families in community outreach

Collaborate and support the Head of School, Board members, administrators, faculty, and counselors to ensure that ISB and its various divisions and departments are appropriately and accurately represented through marketing and community outreach

Align brand identity across different channels, online and offline, ensuring that the visual identity is maintained

Lead the development and ongoing design, messaging, and content on the ISB website

Support stakeholders in meeting requirements for ISB brand representation, as well as offering communication training where appropriate

Support internal stakeholders in the communication of events taking place on campus, defining media plans and monitoring their implementation
Leadership and Supervision

Develop and lead schoolwide and departmental strategic initiatives to meet annual goals

Supervise and evaluate Marketing and Communications team members, including leading professional growth processes by observing, conducting feedback and reflection conversations, writing evaluations, and serving as a supervising leader

Identify staffing needs, participate in the recruitment, and plan and implement the induction of new staff within the department
Oversight and Administration

Plan and lead Marketing and Communications meetings, providing agendas and minutes of these meetings to the shared folder

Manage Marketing and Communications budget and resources, including up-dating of departmental inventories and other resources
-
Oversee Marketing and Communications events, delegating work within the department, as needed
