About the Role:
Region Merchant Development Manager will play a pivotal role in analyzing market dynamics, improving regional sales operations, and leading key projects such as T2/T3 expansion. Within the first six months, this role will tackle challenges like identifying operational inefficiencies, enhancing merchant engagement strategies, and driving regional problem-solving sessions to improve ways of working. By managing dashboards and providing actionable insights, they will directly impact regional performance. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration, sales team development, and acting as a successor to the Region Senior Sales Manager, ensuring seamless leadership transitions when needed.
What you will do:
- Strong understanding on market dynamics and competitive activities of competitors.
- Observe the way the sales region team works and determine problems and make necessary improvements.
- Region Sales Senior Manager co-pilot in defining the right strategy and execution In the region.
- Leading T2 T3 expansion project in Region.
- Leading Problem Solving session and create concise RFC for merchants and way of working improvement.
- Manage the Region Dashboard and provide insights and action points to the Region team.
- Actively carry out cross-functional collaboration within Gojek.
- Actively collabs with Sales L&D team to ensure the development of the sales team's working methods.
- With robust experience in sales operation and great problem solving skill, this role should be able lead the region (during absence of Region Sales Senior Manager) and should be the successor of Region Sales Senior Manager.
What you will need:
- At least 5 years of experience in sales operations, strategy, or project management, with a focus on market analysis and competitive dynamics.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to lead sessions and propose actionable changes.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to manage teams and act as Region Sales Senior Manager when needed.
- Expertise in managing dashboards, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights.
- Strategic thinking and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record in leading expansion projects and improving sales processes.
- In-depth knowledge of regional market dynamics, competitor activities, and sales operations.
- Excellent communication, project management, and organizational skills.
