We’re on the hunt for an amazing Senior Marketing Copywriter to join our team and help us shape the future of marketing copy at FREENOW.

YOUR DAILY ADVENTURES WILL INCLUDE:

  • On most of your days, you’ll meet, align, brainstorm and work closely with designers and marketing teams. You’ll be interpreting campaign briefs, conceptualising them into copy ideas, or executing them according to project timelines. 
  • In the morning, you might be working on a social media campaign, and in the afternoon you might be editing copy you receive from freelancers.
  • Your days will never be monotonous and you’ll get to work on a wide range of projects and channels. Plus, you’ll learn from great colleagues and make an impact in a big way.

We offer the unique opportunity to work alongside UX Writers, Marketing Copywriters and Localization experts, and see your copy impact customers across channels, products, borders and languages. Our team is spread across Europe - in Germany, Portugal, Greece, Spain and Italy.


TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

🧑‍💻 As well as next-level wordsmithery, here’s a few other traits that’ll have us jumping at the chance to meet you:

  • A generalist approach to your copywriting craft. You write engaging and inspiring copy for different types of channels, from CRM content such as newsletters, emails and push notifications to educational in-app carousels, landing pages, marketing and brand campaigns, and social media posts.
  • A hawk-like eye for detail. We want you to bore people with how obsessed you are with good grammar and spelling. We’d also like you to be able to understand the nuances between playing with grammatical rules for effect, and just flat-out ignoring them.
  • A true command of the English language
  • Ideally you’ll have 6+ years of experience either in an agency or in-house, across a wide breadth of topics and content types. 
  • Experience managing freelance copywriters or in-house copywriting teams.

  • You’ve already got experience working for a tech company, an app or product-led company, working with cross-functional teams, managing many projects and priorities, and juggling multiple stakeholders.
  • You have an interest in inclusive writing and accessibility. You write with empathy and by keeping our customers and their needs in focus.
  • You’re an eager collaborator and storyteller, with a strong interest in marketing. You’ll enjoy developing and shaping our marketing copy standards whilst understanding how they can flex and adapt on a channel-by-channel basis.
