The Role
We are looking for a dynamic and innovative QA Engineer II to join our team in Bangalore!
Responsibilities:
- Work with the QAA team and Development/Product Managers in an Agile (scrum) environment to automate testing of new features and non-functional requirements (e.g. performance)
- Review automation code and provide suggestions.
- Develop test automation scripts and along with maintaining and enhancing the automation test framework supporting a continuous integration environment with automated smoke and regression test suite.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Work closely with developers and other QA engineers to discuss defects and resolutions.
- Utilize appropriate testing tools for both front-end and back-end Quality Assurance
- Coordinate and manage automated testing efforts for concurrent projects and software releases, including coordinating test automation schedules, environments, and configuration requirements for assigned testing activities and provide feedback to internal and external clients.
- Participate in release testing.
- Assist in estimation and planning of future work within a scrum project framework.
Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in automation framework development for Web application and API.
Required Skills:
- Strong Knowledge on API contract testing, automation & Security testing.
- Experience in automation tools/framework (Selenium, Rest Assured, TestNG and Cucumber).
- Knowledge of Cucumber/BDD.
- Ability to perform automated testing against a web application UI.
- Ability to perform automated testing against RESTful services.
- Test reporting knowledge and review, using TestNG or Report Portal.
- Perform regression and functional user acceptance testing of systems with UAT sign off.
- The ability to estimate effort, make and meet commitments is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of performance testing, stress testing, penetration testing using industry standard tools such as JMeter, NeoLoad etc.,
- Working knowledge and experience with JIRA, Confluence, GitLab and Jenkins.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to read, write and analyze SQL database queries.
- Working knowledge and experience in Gitlab CI/CD Pipelines.
- Any experience in testing the API Developer portal.
