About the Role:
We are seeking a Financial Bookkeeper/Analyst to join our team. This role encompasses a range of responsibilities, including recording daily financial transactions, maintaining a general ledger, and preparing trial balances for accountants. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with CPAs to enable tax compliance, monitoring cash flow, and producing and interpreting financial reports.
This is a part-time role. The employee will work 40 hours per month, and work hours are flexible.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions and ensure their proper classification and coding.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Run payroll and generate related reports.
- Generate, send, and track invoices, and follow up on aging receivables.
- Assist with the preparation of tax returns, financial audits, and regulatory reporting.
- Define bookkeeping policies and procedures.
Requirements and Skills:
- You MUST live in an SBA HUBZone.
- Proven experience as a bookkeeper. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger functions.
- Proficiency using QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and investigate financial discrepancies.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data clearly.
- US Citizenship or Green Card status.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- CPA designation is desirable.
