Summary:
- Technical & architectural design and implementation of High-value Payment systems for SWIFT and SAMOS RTGS.
- Driving the success of payments projects & ensuring high-quality technical deliverables.

Responsibilities:
- Software solution design
- Leads by example through significant contribution towards the solution design of software projects.
- Contributes to the quality of software solution design at Electrum through their understanding and knowledge of solution design, implementation & best practices.
- Solution architecture
- Designs and reviews architectural solutions.
- Develops architecture design skills at Electrum through the mentorship of more junior developers
- Contributes to the quality of architectural designs at Electrum through their understanding and knowledge of software architecture and best practices.
- High-Value payments
- Heavily involved in guiding projects for the implementation of High-Value payments processing systems, such as those related to SWIFT and SAMOS RTGS.
- Brings SME knowledge of SWIFT & SAMOS RTGS to the table
- Liquidity Management
- Provides SME knowledge on managing liquidity in a banking environment with specific focus on High Value payments
- Software Delivery
- Project management - Working with the Project office, Product teams and Professional Services teams to ensure that projects are well defined, scoped, understood & timeously delivered.
- Assists in the prioritisation of projects via their input as a payments SME.
- Team Leadership
- Project management - Sets clear technical goals, milestones and objectives as a project SME.
- Growing team members - Cultivates and supports the growth of team members, empowering them to advance.
- Team commitment and purpose - Creates a shared sense of purpose among the team, cultivating a deep commitment to their work.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software solution design.
- 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the payments industry.
- 2+ years of experience in a Payments SME role.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing successful payment processing systems for SWIFT and/or SAMOS RTGS.
Beneficial Experience:
- Experience with SWIFT Alliance and SWIFT implementations using ISO20022.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with cloud environments.
- Background in delivering enterprise software.
