Our electrical engineering team are fearless innovators. They have a seat at the design table, working alongside our other disciplines to solve some of the hardest and most technical challenges in the industry. They embrace the opportunity to create meaningful solutions from smart buildings to lighting, from light safety to telecommunications and security; while continually working at the forefront of sustainable solutions.
We’re seeking an energetic Electrical Designer or Technologist to join our multi-disciplinary team, working on a variety of commercial, healthcare, retail and institutional building designs. This position will be based in Vancouver.
How you'll make a difference:
- Prepare high quality engineering drawings for smart building systems, lighting, light safety, power, security, fire alarm, data and telecommunications systems for various types of buildings using AutoCAD and REVIT
- Coordinating details with other disciplines
- Provide design support for electrical engineering projects
- Provide support for Construction Administration services
- Working with other team members to ensure schedules, budgets, and quality control standards are achieved and maintained
Who you are:
- A Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 4 - 9 years of design work on various electrical engineering systems (as listed above)
- Designation with Applied Science Technologists & Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) preferred
- Knowledge of building and electrical codes
- Revit experience is required
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative and team oriented
