Job Description:

Responsibilities:

Provide support for CBS IT (Client's Business Services IT) infrastructure services within Client's Manufacturing Sites.
Follow IT best practices and CBS IT directives in manufacturing.
Works closely and takes direction from CBS IT Mfg. Site Support Leader.
Communicate and coordinate activities with the local business unit and plant personnel; Engage Operational IT support teams as required.
Responsible for the support of the production servers and networking equipment located in the plant's data closet.
Assist with VMWare upgrades and activities including new VM deployment and version upgrades.
Active Directory Organizational Unit (OU) administration.
Triage to root cause manufacturing and common IT infrastructure issues, with basic operational knowledge of production line operations (Programmed Logic Controls, Embedded vendor computers for production line equipment, servers, and switches)
Assist with manufacturing project/application deployments.
Responsible for Virus patching and OS patching on servers and clients.
Support local Manufacturing Client PCs, printers, and plant production devices.
Manage the Manufacturing Support ticket queue (i.e. trouble tickets).
Maintain and update site documentation as things change in the environment.

Skills:

General: Ability to learn new things and adapt to changing technical environment.
General: Comfortable around manufacturing equipment and industrial devices. Capable of communicating with engineering on manufacturing technical topics.
Server: Proficient with Microsoft Windows Server OSs - Windows 2008 through Windows 2019.
Server: Working knowledge of computer room systems (UPS, HVAC, Fire Suppression, Redundant power, etc.).
Server: Familiar with MS Active Directory, DNS, IIS and DHCP.
Server: Familiar with MS SQL Server.
Client: Proficient with Windows OSs Windows XP through Windows 10.
Client: Proficient with Antivirus Software management and updates.
Client: Familiar with client imaging tools such as Acronis or Macrium.
Client: Familiar with MS Security patching.
Network: Working knowledge of L1 and L2 Network infrastructure (Cisco) including cable management, cable termination, switch VLAN assignment, and switch troubleshooting.

Personal Requirements:

Must have a minimum of 3 years of IT operational experience and be able to understand/apply this IT infrastructure knowledge to 7x24 plant production line activities, multiple plant-specific assets (hardware and software), and comply with all OSHA safety requirements, to include equipment lock-out and tag-out requirements.
Must be able to safely work in and around the plants production line areas, engine test cells, and other plant operating equipment, that may contain oil and grease on the floor and confined space areas.
Due to the nature of the job the candidate should be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance.
Exposure to manufacturing/engineering environment.
Strong technical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Strong knowledge with integration of diverse technologies and infrastructures.
Able to troubleshoot across multiple systems quickly to resolve problems.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must be customer lead.
Must be able to work independently with minimal instruction.

Education:

College degree (2 or 4 year) is desirable, but not required.
Certifications are not required.
