Purpose: Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialists support others in their recovery and wellness journey by providing hope and inspiration, sharing their experiences with and knowledge of the behavioral health system, and helping make lifestyle changes that lead to better whole-health outcomes. Job Summary: The Parent & Family Peer Support Specialist on the Intensive Family Services team will work with youth and their families in individual, group, and family settings, assisting them with navigating systems, instilling hope for recovery, and supporting utilization of skills that focus on coping with crisis, managing big emotions, improving relationships and mindfulness.
