Summary: Bethel Church is seeking a dedicated, spiritually grounded BSSM Português Translation Team Pastor to join our volunteer team. This role focuses on managing and coordinating all translations from English to Portuguese for our ministry school, ensuring that Portuguese-speaking students can fully engage with the teachings and classes. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, skilled in translation, and passionate about fostering spiritual growth and understanding within our school community.
Responsibilities:
- Translation Management:
- Lead and organize the translation of educational materials, lectures, and other school resources from English to Portuguese.
- Develop and mentor a team of volunteer translators, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Coordinate with school leaders and departments to ensure timely and accurate translations.
- Scheduling and Training:
- Schedule translators for various school events, classes, and activities.
- Conduct training sessions for new translators, ensuring they are well-equipped to provide high-quality translations.
- Provide ongoing support and development opportunities for the translation team.
- Content Management:
- Review and edit translated content to maintain high standards of accuracy and clarity.
- Assist in creating and curating bilingual content for various school platforms, including newsletters, bulletins, and online resources.
- Ensure consistency in terminology and style across all translated materials.
- Pastoral Care:
- Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to the translation team members.
- Participate in pastoral staff meetings and contribute to the planning and executing of school-wide initiatives.
- Event Coordination:
- Plan and execute translation-related events and workshops, coordinating with other departments for resources and support.
- Oversee the translation and interpretation during live school events and classes, ensuring quality and accessibility for Portuguese-speaking students.

Requirements
Required:
- Believes and adheres to the beliefs and vision of Bethel Church.
- Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably in an educational or multicultural environment.
- Proficient in Portuguese and English.
Recommend:
- BSSM Alumni or similar theological training.
- Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Translation Studies, or a related field.
- Experience with content creation and editing.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Sensitivity to confidential matters and a commitment to spiritual integrity.
