Responsibilities:
- Act as a finance business partner for the country/region leadership team to develop and implement both short-term and long-term strategic objectives for the company.
- Oversee financial activity ensuring that all relevant requirements are compliant with local and EU regulatory standards.
- Ensure the financial integrity of the company and be fully accountable for the accuracy of the company's financial statements and drive the statutory and safeguarding audits.
- Provide support on all tax matters related to compliance and manage relationships with Luxembourg tax authorities, including responding to queries, managing audits, and handling any challenges, disputes, and tax litigation.
- Implement and perform financial regulatory reporting to the CSSF.
- Provide support for license applications and set up the optimal business entity structure in Luxembourg, considering future expansion plans.
- Assist the business in analyzing and structuring commercial transactions and contractual arrangements, as well as support new business ventures, products, or services.
- Provide financial oversight and drive controls in Luxembourg.
- Budget, forecast, and oversee current and future investments and capital structures.
- Manage the financial health of the business in the region and ensure that various key financial metrics are accurately maintained and reported.
- Be aware of the law, regulation, and compliance requirements of the regulated payments industry and work closely with the company’s legal and tax teams, regulators, and law enforcement agencies as required.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 3+ years in a Head of Finance role.
- Experience in a senior financial role within a regulated institution is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of financial planning, financial regulation and risk management practices.
- Experience tax and working with tax authorities, including responding to requests for information, managing audits, and handling challenges, disputes, and tax litigation.
- Experience in regulatory reporting and working with regulators.
- Significant experience working with external advisors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and lead teams through change.
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA); additional qualifications such as Company Secretary (CS) are an advantage.
- Fluency in English is essential, French would be beneficial.
- Luxembourg based.
