In this job, you will be involved in the design and testing of motion planning & trajectory generation algorithms and software to continuously improve the capability of our autonomous driving system and enhance the safety and comfort of our driving behaviors. You will use extensive tooling, metrics, and pipelines to test and validate our algorithms and software across many different driving situations and analyze results to measure our system’s performance.
Technical Qualifications & Language Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Controls, Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar fields
- Some coursework or extracurricular project experience in either robotics or controls. Examples could include path generation & motion planning/control for automotive, drones, or other physical moving systems
- Strong C++ programming skills & experience with software development
- Bonus qualifications: knowledge of numerical optimization methods
Compensation
The monthly salary range for this position is $6,500 to $9,500. Compensation will vary based on role, degree level and type, and benefits will be offered based on eligibility. Additional benefits may include medical insurance, 401k, and a housing stipend.
