The role

Cookpad’s Global HR Team are role models for the high performance culture we are creating at Cookpad and everything we do is driven by the impact we can make on the business. As HR Business Partner you will take ownership of the delivery and ongoing operation of high-performing, user-centric and efficient HR processes.

The initial focus will be business as usual such as supporting talent acquisition, onboarding and development, HR systems maintenance, reporting and diagnostics. You will also participate or lead new initiatives that reflect and embed HR best practice and Cookpad’s values-based culture.

This is a full-time role reporting to the Head of HR and as a business partner, the role has a strong stakeholder relationship focus.

Ability to work in a cross-cultural setting is essential. Cookpad teams are geographically dispersed with a common purpose and we are proud that the team in our Bristol office comprises over 30 different nationalities.

Also essential is a passion for Cookpad’s mission and scaling up an international tech business.

What we are looking for

We want someone who can quickly contribute to a high performance culture, takes full ownership of their role, is self-motivated, proactive, understands their stakeholders, plans for and meets deadlines, and cares deeply about being great at what they do.

Most likely you will be an experienced generalist with knowledge across all functions in HR. You will be able to deal with day-to-day operational matters but always with a focus on building more strategic value for the company. You will be great at execution and the delivery of efficient processes and have a strong stakeholder focus. Knowledge of Workday and payroll systems is desirable.

Pragmatism and practical delivery of support is a key requirement, as is great audience-appropriate communications, both verbal and written. You will value teamwork, transparency and openness.

Experience with a start-up and an international team would be valuable - Cookpad is a fast-paced environment focused on creating value for our users. Processes will change and flex as the global operations expands . This type of environment is not for everyone.
