We need support around our new VMware on-prem environment running Windows/Linux VMs.
Ability to meet requirements working with geographically distributed teams.
Under the general supervision of the Sr. Mgr. Information Technology, the System Administrator is responsible for administration and management of VMWare environments (on premise, small size).
This individual is a single point of contact for all VMware and O365 related issues and is responsible for identifying, tracking, and resolving technical issues.
As a liaison with multiple technical teams, this role is critical in providing accurate technical and functional feedback and soliciting input from the end-user community to ensure continuous improvements.
VMware administration.
O365/Exchange administration.
O365/Intune administration.
Keeping environments up-to-date.
Participation in new service implementations.
Writing technical documentation.
Participating in teams calls.
Building and fostering strong partnerships with key stakeholders and third parties.
Documenting and communicating new processes and procedures across multiple teams as needed.

Requirements:

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in supporting macOS, and Windows desktops in an enterprise environment.
Minimum 2 years of experience in supporting macOS laptops.

Required:

Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi.
Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and administration.
Experience in O365 Administration.
Familiarity with networking protocols and concepts, such as VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
Experience in applying and maintaining security best practices in hybrid environment.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Keeping technical documentation up-to-date and knowledge sharing.
