Job Title: Azure Platform Engineer
Location: Remote (Washington, DC)
Overview:
As an Azure Platform Engineer at Improvix, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Azure. The role involves collaborating with development teams to manage CI/CD pipelines, ensuring security best practices, and supporting cloud migration projects. This position requires an active Secret security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, deploy, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual networks, storage accounts, and security services.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, and Azure DevOps.
- Implement security protocols, manage Azure Active Directory, and ensure compliance with federal security standards.
- Monitor and optimize cloud performance, ensuring availability and scalability of Azure services.
- Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in planning and execution of cloud migration projects from on-premise environments.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in Azure cloud infrastructure management.
- Experience with automation tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, and PowerShell scripting.
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and DevOps tools.
- Familiarity with Azure security tools like Azure Security Center, Azure AD, and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FedRAMP).
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Strong networking knowledge, including virtual networks and VPNs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization technologies.
