Registered Nurse Educator - Surgical Services

• Covid vaccination required
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• BLS required - through AHA only
• 13 weeks of contract and it is a auto offer opportunity (no interview is required)

• · Perform rounds on each perioperative unit, continuously observing, assessing the quality of patient care, and identifying nursing educational needs
• ·          Utilizes skills of observation. Provides feedback on nursing assessments, nursing diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care
• ·          Maintains technology for easy contact by new graduates or other nurses within scope of support
• ·          Fosters teamwork and contributes to achievement of team goals
• ·          Tracks requests to identify most commonly requested skills for purposes of enhancing orientation & education
• ·          Seeks opportunities to impact the growth of the organization by promoting excellence in patient experience and providing high quality care to the patients served
• ·          Identify nursing educational needs.
• ·          Escalate concerns about nursing skills, patient care, policies, processes, and equipment as appropriate.

• ·          1+ years' experience in a leadership role preferred
• ·          1+ years of RECENT RN Teaching or Precepting experience in acute care surgical services.
• ·          2-4 years of RECENT ACUTE STAFF LEVEL RN EXPERIENCE IN SURGICAL SERVICES.
• (However, they would consider someone that does not have teaching experience but has floated as an RN in all of the units in the Surgical services: OR RN, GI LAB RN, ENDO, PACU RN for multiple years)
