This position requires proficient to advanced skills in AngularJS hybrid applications development and with knowledge of Java or Objective C as a bonus. You will be part of a cross-functional team, which develops highly interactive learning solutions for the aviation field.
- Work in an Agile Scrum team following the best practices on Software development such as Test-driven development and Pair Programming/Peer Reviews.
- Design, implement and test hybrid single-page applications that improve user experience
- Develop client-side, TypeScript/HTML5 applications in Angular; Develop, deploy and monitor RESTful APIs using JavaScript
- Design, develop and shape solutions to enhance our offerings to the Customer. This may include development of tools, and Business Support applications and solutions to support Content Development, Administration and other Business needs
- Ensure Quality is delivered at all stages for both internal and external users and needs. At Boeing we aim to delivery First Time Quality
- Participate in the design, architecture and implementation of complex, business critical features of the system
- Provide technical recommendations for software development
- Develop/decompose, document and maintain designs for applications
- Work as part of a cross-functional, agile development team embracing scrum approach
- Contribute to ensuring high-quality code through following best practices and design patterns
- Design and write automated unit, integration and acceptance tests
- Actively drive non-functional requirements such as performance, security, continuous integration, migration and compatibility
Required Skills:- Knowledge and experience (6 + years) in technologies: Java, Databases SQL and NoSQL (CouchDB)
- 5 years' experience working in an Agile environment; Working knowledge of Agile principles, methods, and frameworks (Scrum, XP, Kanban)
- Programming experience using : Java, Spring Framework, Restful APIs, SOAP, Angular 4 , TypeScript/ Microservices, Swagger, Groovy, JavaScript / ECMA Script 6
- Working experience (2+ years) in at least 2 of the following Technologies: CSS, HTML5, XML, DTD, XSLT
- Experience with collaboration, configuration control, integration and testing tools (For example Jira, Git, Maven, Selenium)
Desired Skills:- Experience in automation testing script development using Selenium
- Working experience in the following Technologies: Toolsriot.js (JavaScript framework), Bulma (CSS framework), Sass (CSS extension), Windows PowerShell, Bash, SQLite, ImageMagick, Adobe Photoshop scripting
- Experience in Devops/Cloud Services CI/CD , Dockers, Kubernetes, Azure/AWS
- Working experience with Microservices and understanding of Microservices architecture
- Experience with Linux, particularly CentOS
- Version control and continuous integration tools such as Git, Bamboo, Ansible
- Experience developing for cloud architectures such as Azure or AWS
- Experience in Objective C, Elastic Search a plus
- Experience using system monitoring tools
- Experience with continuous integration and deployment frameworks
- Interest or basic experience in the following areas: machine learning, recommendation systems, large-scale data mining
- Experience in Airline Operations Domain is a definite plus.
- Excellent verbal communication skills; Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
