About the Role

As a Student Success Manager, you will help MedSchoolCoach engage our customer base of students and make sure their needs are being met. You will work as part of the Student Success team to ensure students are getting the most out of their experience, making progress towards their goals and help manage the communication with clients/parent and coordination of requests for assistance. Your client base will include high school students aspiring for a career in medicine who are applying to undergraduate and accelerated programs, early college students preparing to apply to medical school and medical school applicants. You will also help to develop proactive measures to enhance the student experience and provide guidance and assistance to students, advisors and tutors.

The best applicant is someone who is passionate about delivering a high level of customer service and skilled at managing communication between multiple groups. It is also essential that this person can relate to a diverse group of students and parents during a stressful time and make sure they succeed. We’re looking for a creative problem solver; someone who is feedback-oriented; and will make adjustments to ensure a better experience for students and families. This person needs to be flexible and resourceful, as every situation will be slightly different and based on varied circumstances.

In This Role, You’ll Get To

  • Provide high level customer support for students and parents.
  • Manage day to day operational tasks including monitoring our helpline and facilitating client needs.
  • Resolve typical client issues involving scheduling, minor technical issues and other daily requests for support efficiently and effectively.
  • Daily client, advisor and staff interaction via email and calls
  • Serve as a resource for clients as they navigate the challenging and stressful application processes and provide support and encouragement.
  • Proactively track satisfaction and engagement.
  • Collect and keep up to date statistics for client acceptances and successes
  • Help develop proactive procedures and programs to enhance the client experience
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Student Success

Looking For People Who Have

  • Completed an Undergraduate degree (Masters a plus)
  • Experience working in higher education or a related field and specifically with high touch client interaction and problem solving. Student Success/Admissions experience a plus but not required.
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of concerns of clients/parents aspiring to exceptionally competitive programs.
  • Extraordinary written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively and with care.
  • High degree of personal organization, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with a willingness to share ideas and troubleshoot issues.
  • A willingness to learn about all the aspects of premedical education, the medical school application process and related topics.
  • Ability to demonstrate empathy, respect, and understanding of the needs of both students and parents
  • Student/Client interaction experience, with authoritative, yet friendly and engaging, phone presence
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast paced remote environment
  • Effective problem solving skills and the ability to find solutions and adjust quickly to change.
