Financial Reporting Analyst

The role:

The Financial Reporting Analyst manages monthly reporting and plays a key role in guiding the global business segment through quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.  This position is responsible for financial data management to ensure smooth global consolidation. 

You will partner with counterparts across marketing, operations, sales and finance to create accurate, timely measurements of KPIs to assist management in meeting financial targets.  A successful candidate will need problem solving skills; a proactive, drive-for-results attitude; and an understanding of financial systems and structure.

What you will do:

• Assist in the development of the annual operating budget and monthly forecast reviews for the business. Lead integrated, efficient processes for budgeting and forecasting.
• Take a leadership role in consolidation reporting for either brands and/or sector including consolidation design, maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Provide timely, accurate and actionable information required to manage the business and support initiatives.
• Perform consolidation variance analyses and identify necessary revisions or controls to aid in delivering financial commitment. 
• Continuously improve on reporting applications & tools.  This could include updating/upgrading existing reports and/or creating impactful, user friendly dashboard visualization tools. 
• Develop, analyze, report, and present business metrics and recommendations to both financial and non-financial audiences as needed. 
• Provide financial insights and make recommendations to support business decisions and develop effective strategies, with an overriding goal to create value for the company.

What you will need:

The Financial Reporting Analyst must demonstrate strong analytical skills, typically acquired through at least three years of related experience in a similar multi-country environment. Additionally, the Financial Reporting Analyst must have:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance
• Experience in financial analysis or management reporting required 
• The ability to work in a cross-functional team environment to drive fiscally sound business results
• The skills to effectively communicate to all levels and functions within the organization, both written and verbal
• Ability to facilitate small group discussions
• Basic understanding of general accounting guidelines
• Must possess advanced Excel skills with basic skills in PowerPoint & Microsoft Word. Experience with data analytic software such as PowerBI and Alteryx a plus
• Experience in SAP and EPM/BPC (or similar ERP applications) a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints and have the ability to multi-task
• Proven success working in a rapidly changing environment as well as proven skills in addressing senior levels of an organization
• Must be able to work independently and proactively
• Sound judgment and ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations
