Joom is an international group of eCommerce companies founded in 2016 in Latvia.
Joom currently includes the following businesses: Joom Marketplace, a platform for shopping from all over the world; Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany; JoomPro, a tech enabled turnkey solution for B2B importing goods from China, and Joom Pulse, data platform that provides analytics and recommendations for marketplace sellers. Joom’s offices are located in Latvia, China, Hong Kong, the USA, Germany, Brazil and Portugal. Joom Group has HQ in Lisbon, Portugal.
We are currently looking for several senior backend developers for several teams: JoomPro, Logistics, Direct Marketing, Development, Antifraud and Marketplace Infrastructure.
All teams primarily use the following tech stack: Go, MongoDB, AWS
Responsibilities
- Come up with architecture
- Program in Go (Go is not a must for us; it is more important for a successful candidate to have solid algorithm skills, fundamental technical knowledge, and great coding skills in general)
- Provide fault tolerance for coded services in an AWS environment
- Be prepared for a constant increase of processed and stored data loads and volumes
- Participate in new feature and product development discussions
Requirements
- Confident knowledge of any of the programming languages: Go/Java/Kotlin/C ++/Python/Scala
- Complex project development experience
- Excellent algorithmic training
- Experience in development for Linux / Unix
Preferred
- Experience in people management, leading and coaching others developers
- Experience with highload
- Experience with MongoDB
- Experience with Kubernetes
