Objective of the role:
Provide strategic leadership and expertise in leveraging data analytics to drive business performance and inform decision-making at the highest levels of the organization. Responsibilities typically include leading complex analytics projects, providing guidance on data strategy and governance, and translating business needs into actionable insights that drive organizational success. Senior Business Analysts play a critical role in aligning analytics initiatives with business objectives, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvement, and driving continuous improvement in analytics methodologies and practices. They may also mentor and coach junior team members, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and serve as trusted advisors to senior leadership. Overall, the goal is to leverage data-driven insights to drive business growth and optimize operational efficiency.
Main Responsabilities:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align analytics initiatives with overall business objectives and strategic priorities. Develop a deep understanding of business goals and challenges to drive the strategic direction of analytics projects.
- Lead the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business requirements from stakeholders across the organization. Ensure that requirements are clear, comprehensive, and aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct advanced data analysis using statistical methods, predictive modeling, and machine learning techniques to extract actionable insights from complex data sets. Interpret findings and translate them into meaningful recommendations for decision-making.
- Work closely with technical teams to design and implement analytics solutions that address business needs and requirements. Develop detailed functional specifications, user stories, and system designs to guide solution development.
- Lead cross-functional teams through the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to implementation. Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Communicate effectively to gather requirements, manage expectations, and present findings and recommendations to key decision-makers.
- Identify and assess risks associated with analytics projects and develop strategies to mitigate them. Proactively monitor project progress and address any issues or obstacles that may arise.
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of analytics solutions through rigorous testing, validation, and verification processes. Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements and user needs.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in business analytics. Drive continuous improvement in analytics methodologies, processes, and tools to enhance organizational capabilities and performance.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members. Share expertise, best practices, and lessons learned to foster professional development and growth within the team.

Required Knowledge and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis or related roles.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, information systems, computer science, economics, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of business analysis concepts, methodologies, and techniques, including requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation. Ability to apply advanced analytical techniques to solve complex business problems.
- Deep knowledge of industry, including industry trends, regulations, and best practices. Understanding of business processes, terminology, and key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to the industry.
- Proficiency in advanced data analysis techniques, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning. Experience working with large and complex data sets and using data visualization tools to communicate insights effectively.
- Strong understanding of solution design principles and practices, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and system designs. Familiarity with data architecture, data modeling, and database management concepts.
- Advanced project management skills, including experience leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from initiation to implementation. Ability to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, and ensure successful project execution within time and budget constraints.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Experience in managing stakeholder expectations, gathering requirements, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Knowledge of risk management principles and practices, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation. Ability to anticipate potential risks associated with analytics projects and develop strategies to address them effectively.
- Understanding of quality assurance principles and practices, with experience in conducting thorough testing, validation, and verification of analytics solutions. Ability to ensure the quality and accuracy of deliverables through rigorous testing processes.
- Proficiency in using advanced analytics tools and technologies, such as statistical software (e.g., R, SAS), data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL) for data analysis and modeling.
