Senior Shipyard Services Coordinator

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating shipyard services for our clients in the marine industry. As a Senior Shipyard Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the maintenance and repair activities of various types of vessels, ensuring that they are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards. You will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling shipyard services, managing budgets, and liaising with shipyard personnel and vendors to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, you will oversee the documentation and reporting of all shipyard activities.

The ideal candidate for this position has extensive experience in shipyard services and possesses excellent organizational and communication skills. You should have a thorough understanding of ship maintenance and repair processes, as well as a strong knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards in the marine industry. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can multitask effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee shipyard services, including maintenance, repairs, and upgrades
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Liaise with shipyard personnel, vendors, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all shipyard activities
• Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of shipyard activities with overall project goals
• Provide guidance and support to junior shipyard services coordinators
• Review and evaluate shipyard service contracts and proposals
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of shipyard activities

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipyard services coordination or a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of ship maintenance and repair processes
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and industry standards in the marine industry
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using project management software and tools
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Leadership skills and ability to mentor and guide junior team members
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
