Title: The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT)

Job Duties: The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) provides direct nursing care to the clients according to physicians’ orders and applicable client care standards, within their scope of practice. The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)/Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) will provide direction to non-licensed personnel in providing direct client care and operation of the unit.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for FT and $3,000 for PT/On-Call.  If hired by 9.26.2024, paid after 120 days or working 100 hours (whichever is greater). 

Schedule:

  • Full-Time: Overnight (11pm-7:30am) or PM (3:00pm-11:30pm)
  • Part-Time: AM (7:00am-3:30pm)
  • On Call: All Shifts

All staff will be expected to work either a Saturday or Sunday as part of a 5-day work week.  

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure in California as an LPT or LVN
  • Previous experience in mental health nursing is preferred.
  • Current CPR and first aid certifications.
  • Knowledge of DBT, WRAP, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation principles preferred

About the Campus: Located in the beautiful central California coastal city of Santa Barbara, Clients are welcomed into our safe, calming, and homelike environment, where they will receive compassionate recovery support from our diverse team of clinical staff who are trained in Trauma-Informed Approaches of care. Our clients receive comprehensive mental health services and support for up to 23 hours. After which, they are referred to mental health services in the community that will best meet their needs so that they may continue their recovery journey.

The salary range listed below represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting. Final salary offered to the candidate selected for the position will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity. 
Pay Range:
$37$41 USD
