What your days might look like

Reporting to the Event Marketing Manager, this newly created role will build on the success of our current events program. You will use your skills and experience to manage small to large scale events in NZ, whether that be in-person, hybrid or online. 

As our Events Specialist, you’ll be:

• Own the end-to-end execution of events in NZ, including online, hybrid, and in-person.
• Run and manage event projects against budgets and timelines.
• Work closely with the Brand and Content team, including the design team to ensure events are consistent with content themes and that event collateral is designed to brand.
• Work closely with the Growth Marketing team to maximise Employment Hero’s reach and presence at third party NZ events through sponsorships and partnerships.
• Work closely with Employment Hero’s sales, partnerships, marketing and product teams for event deliverables. 
• Build strong event relationships with industry organisations and event suppliers in NZ.
• Report on event effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement or optimisation.

What you will bring?

• Demonstrated experience in running events end to end in NZ.
• An understanding of the NZ event market.
• Proven project and logistics management skills with an ability to prioritise and delegate tasks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Experience working with industry organisations and third party suppliers.
• Experience in acquiring and working with guest speakers.
• Confident with online webinar and events technology. 
• Comfortable conducting site inspections and attending in-person events (travel may be necessary).

Bonus Points:

• A background in wider marketing teams and fields, we love broad marketing experience within our global events team.
