The Corporate platform is in need of a System Engineer Lead to assist with Oracle OATS Proof of Concept and Oracle EBS Performance Improvements. The Oracle Applications DBA will be working with Application Developers and Service Management team in support and implement application changes, production support including incident, problem and change management, extensive troubleshooting, Oracle quarterly patch installs, and upgrades. The Apps DBA will also engage in troubleshooting the application tier components such as concurrent manager, Oracle HTTP server, forms. Monitoring and tuning the Oracle EBS application tier, installed modules, cloning, configuration enhancement, patching, installation and workflow. An understanding and some experience in SOA Suite and OBIA is preferred.
Oracle OATS Proof of Concept Project: Candidate will work install OATS, work with System Test Engineer to develop strategy for implementing automated testing and a success criteria for the proof of concept (POC). If POC is successfully, the candidate will work with the System Test Engineer to roll-out OATS.
Oracle EBS Performance Improvements Project: Candidate will review Progressive's current EBS implementation and recommend performance improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations for production-support
• Provide hands-on experience with implementation, upgrade and tuning of large Oracle EBS environments
• Strong understanding of Oracle RDBMS architecture
• Provide cloning of EBS systems and automation procedures
• Patch assessment and application in an Oracle EBS environment
• Application tier cloning
Required skills/experience:
• 5-7 years of Oracle APPS DBA Experience
• R12.1/11i EBS Architecture
• Oracle Application Framework Processing
• Oracle Apps DBA with R12/11i experience throughout all stages of the lifecycle
• Multiple operating systems: Linux/Unix/Windows
• RAC database
• Migrating code, database changes, Oracle quarterly patch installs
• Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware applications
• Team player with positive attitude.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Hands on experience in supporting Oracle EBS 11i/R12 deployments/upgrades on Unix/Linux platforms
• OEM - Oracle Enterprise Manager
• SQL coding and tuning, PL/SQL coding and tuning, and application/database tuning and performance management
• Ability to solve complex technical problems that may involve multiple technology layers including database, messaging,
operating systems, application servers, languages, and other middleware
• Effectively communicate with technical information to Oracle support, other technical associates and customers
• SOA, OBIE and MarkView applications is Preferred
• Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS) is Preferred
• Oracle EBS Health Check is Preferred
