About the role
Working as part of a future-focused team responsible for leading and delivering world class customer strategies. You’ll improve our support for suppliers and simplify processes whilst also leveraging technology and supporting the category team and stores.
To achieve this, you’ll:
· Engage with and manage suppliers in the creation of accounts into the eXchange, and on-going support for using eXchange.
· Partner with other business units to ensure that all EDI and PO needs are met, accurate and working in line with expected results.
· Engage with suppliers and third parties to help establish and maintain EDI integrations between Foodstuffs and suppliers.
· Support strategic initiatives as they arise by providing operational and implantation support.
· Provide analytical support and knowledge around all merchandise operations facings policies and standards.
· Establish and refine clear processes within the Merchandise operations team.
· Help support regular supplier training sessions and communications.
· Deliver key supplier training on an ongoing basis and for changes/projects which may arise from time to time.
About you
You’ll have a great attention to detail, experience in identifying errors and taking steps to prevent these going forward.
You’ll also:
· Have a high level of proficiency in excel, experience using tools such as PowerBI and Powerautomate are extremely advantageous.
· Have experience in working with SAP in a day to day way, ideally this experience would span article/product and vendor/supplier areas.
· Be willing to gather information from appropriate sources and make routine recommendations for actions.
· Be able to negotiate difficult situations with skill, being mindful of different perspective, cultures and diversity.
· Have strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a great ability to collaborate with others and work through problems easily and efficiently.
