Blackline Safety is Hiring an Electronics Assembler to join our team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Electronic Assembler is responsible for the meticulous assembly and integration of electronic components to create functional electronic systems or products. Working with precision tools and following detailed instructions, the Electronic Assembler ensures the quality and reliability of electronic assemblies. This role plays a critical part in the production process, contributing to the delivery of high-quality Blackline products.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Use precision hand tools, soldering irons, and other equipment to perform intricate assembly tasks.
  • Follow wiring diagrams and instructions to connect and route wires and cables within electronic assemblies.
  • Conduct visual inspections of components and finished assemblies to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies during the assembly process.
  • Conduct functional tests on completed electronic assemblies.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues identified during testing.
  • Ensure a quality product is packaged and shipped to our customers
  • Complete additional tasks as directed

Skills required

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications in electronics assembly is a plus.
  • Proven experience in electronic assembly, soldering, and component integration.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Attention to detail and precision in manual assembly tasks.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, soldering equipment, and other assembly tools.
  • Basic understanding of electronic components and their functions.
  • Ability to work in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent time management skills to meet production deadlines.
