Adoc Talent Management is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mass Spectrometry Engineer (M/F). Our client is a purpose-driven, fast-growing health technology company developing an innovative medical device, protected by patents, that enhances the precision and effectiveness of cancer-related surgeries and provides surgical guidance.
Their cutting-edge technology utilizes lasers, mass spectrometry and artificial intelligence to obtain specific molecular fingerprints of different type of tissue samples, enabling better tumor characterization and helping in the detection of other cancer cells during cancer-related surgeries which reduces the number of incomplete tumor removals, ultimately improving patients’ quality of life.
Position
As a Mass Spectrometry Engineer (M/F), under the supervision of the Chief Technology Officer, you will be involved in the planning and coordination of future medical device development projects, from design through construction, to field testing, and clinical trials. You will play an important role in the research and development of Celeos innovative medical devices.
Your responsibilities will include conducting laboratory experiments utilizing Mass Spectrometry (MS) equipment and other relevant technologies to advance the development of cutting-edge medical devices. You will analyze experimental data, generate detailed reports, and effectively communicate results to the R&D team, providing critical insights to inform ongoing development and decision-making processes.
In this position, you will be the primary interface between product development and industrialization, ensuring a seamless transition from design to production. You will manage relationships with external contractors involved in part manufacturing, ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs on time and within budget.
Additionally, you will participate in the creation and maintenance of documentation within the Quality Management System (QMS), including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, Records, and Forms, ensuring full compliance with industry standards. You will also coordinate relationships with both local and international partners, demonstrating dynamic project management skills to keep projects on track and within budget.
Depending on your expertise, you will contribute to the design of instrument parts, including mechanical and/or electronic parts, enhancing the overall functionality and efficiency of the product.
The position is to be filled in Lille as soon as possible, with a possibility of 1 day of remote work per week.
Profile
You hold a Master's degree in Engineering or PhD in analytical sciences, or physical chemistry with a minimum of 2 years of experience in mass spectrometry research and development. You have an excellent understanding of atmospheric pressure techniques, coupled with proven hands-on experience in MS instrumentation and a strong ability to solve complex technical issues.
Experience with MS data pre-processing, analysis, and interpretation, including statistical analysis, databasing, and data sharing, is needed. Understanding of univariate and multivariate statistical methods, as well as proven experience in managing projects ensuring smooth coordination and successful project delivery

Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of French is a plus.
