Hire Resolve is currently partnering with a leading construction company seeking a Quantity Surveyor for their offices in Durbanville, WC.
It's a hybrid role, primarily based at our Durbanville Head Office, yet also involves on-site duties on designated projects.
As a Construction Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will revolve around cost control, management, planning, and reporting.
Responsibilities also include:
- Controlling costs to keep projects within budget.
- Managing project finances and planning.
- Creating detailed cost reports.
- Estimating and budgeting for future projects.
- Collaborating with project teams.
- Visiting sites to monitor progress and costs.
- Negotiating with suppliers and contractors.
- Staying updated on industry trends and regulations.
- Improving cost control processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Valid driver's license.
- 5+ years of management experience in construction.
- Expertise in cost estimation and budgeting.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools.
- Membership in a professional organization, such as SACQSP, is beneficial.
- Proficiency in Cost Control, Management, and Reporting.
- Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and Estimating.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills, especially under pressure.
- Effective negotiation and communication skills with peers and consulting teams.
- Ability to mentor junior staff members.
