RPO Recruitment is currently partnering with a leading mining company in the NW region and seeking an experienced Instrumentation Technician to join their team. As an Instrumentation Technician in the mining industry, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and upgrading instrumentation systems to ensure efficient and safe operations. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of instrumentation and control systems used in mining operations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on instrumentation equipment.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults in instrumentation systems to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in mining instrumentation.
- Assist with the planning and execution of instrumentation projects.
Requirements
- National Diploma in Process Instrumentation or N6 in Instrumentation with Trade Test Certificate
- At least 4 years' experience as an Instrument Technician in the mining industry
- Strong knowledge of instrumentation principles, techniques, and equipment specific to mining operations.
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
