Senior iOS Developer

Position

Interactive Brokers is looking for a software engineer with iOS expertise to spearhead the development of a new educational app. This greenfield project promises a great impact on global financial literacy, offers high visibility, and requires the ability to work autonomously. Responsibilities

• Drive the development and launch of a brand-new educational app from scratch.
• Create robust high-volume production applications and develop prototypes quickly.
• Collaborate with engineering teams from Interactive Brokers' other global offices.
• Tackle user interface challenges, especially those involving access to extensive educational content and data.
• Solve problems across different areas, extending assistance to backend developers when necessary.

 

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

Minimum qualifications:

• BA/MA degree in Computer Science or related technical field from a reputable institution
• Three-plus years of relevant experience developing mobile applications with Swift or Objective-C
• Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with extensive autonomy
• Superb analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Ability to integrate into and thrive within a global team

 

Preferred qualifications:

• Working experience with Git, REST APIs, Debugging, and Testing tools
• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Ability to perform under pressure in time-critical situations using sound judgment and professionalism and switch tasks as needed
• Desire to be at the forefront of technology, driven by a tech-centric career ambition
