We’re looking for an Agile Project Management leader who is as excited about growing capability and coaching other APMs as they are about contributing to the work.

You’ll be working with the EVP, Account Management to drive confidence in healthy client partnerships at the account and engagement level. As we establish this new combined Practice area, you’ll be responsible for helping to develop the frameworks, best practices and processes that ensure success for our team, in particular individual Agile Project Managers.

Our APM team is small but mighty, so you’ll also take on project management work for some of our critically important clients. In this role, you will plan, empower, organize, and motivate Agile teams to provide measurable and meaningful outcomes for our clients.

You’ll be responsible for:

Strategic Vision & Value Creation (20% of the role)

  • Innovate the value project and account management is capable of delivering to client engagements and the company
  • Consult with leadership on company strategic directions that impact project delivery

Growth & Enablement of APM Practitioners (30% of the role)

  • Lead our small team of Agile Project Managers, coaching and collaborating with them to hone their craft, while also understanding the project risks, resource allocation and financial status across their engagements
  • Create and manage growth plans for our Agile Project Managers including setting baseline Practice expectations and handling other hiring manager responsibilities as needed

Agile Project Management (50% of the role)

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of clients' projects to ensure that engagement goals are accomplished and the engagement is fiscally sound
  • Coaches and empowers team members to resolve roadblocks, and knows when to raise the flag for management help
  • Champions team health, fostering effective cycles of feedback and a team environment that allows candor, trust, and the ability to fail fast to learn quickly
  • Works across other Practices to strategize on project and client success, coordinate resource allocation, and support cross-department initiatives

Requirements

  • 3+ years of managing project management professionals across multiple clients
  • 10+ years of project management experience with an emphasis on an Agile approach
  • Proven track record as a highly effective people leader, including:
    • A passion for excellence with the ability to inspire others
    • Ability to effectively lead the team through change
    • Ability to communicate with clarity, consistency, and purposeful transparency
  • Measurable project management expertise with a record of successful projects delivering high team, engagement, client and financial heath


Extra Credit:

  • Experience in a Professional Services company, especially those that have partnered with a startup, growth company, or enterprise new venture group
  • Scrum Master/Agile/Project Management Certification
