The Challenge
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for managing key financial accounting activities including preparation of monthly financial statements, half yearly and full year statutory accounts, taxation, and compliance reports.
Demyst’s Finance team is based in Sydney, so the successful candidate will need to partially align to Australian Eastern Time (AET).

Responsibilities
Financial Reporting:
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide insightful analysis to support strategic decision making.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for multiple entities.
Financial Controls, Compliance and Audit:
- Develop and maintain robust financial controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Conduct periodic audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, including preparing audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial statement accuracy.
Transactional Processing:
- Manage day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Streamline processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Monthly SaaS Revenue Management:
- Lead the revenue recognition process for our SaaS products, ensuring adherence to IFRS 15 accounting standards and policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast and analyze SaaS revenue.
Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
- CA or CPA qualified with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
- Essential experience in SaaS revenue management
- Proficiency in consolidations and financial systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced excel and financial modeling skills
