Deputy Director Flight Operations - Senior Management Vacancy

Following an internal promotion, Ryanair, Europe's largest airline are looking to hire a Deputy Director, Flight Operations , a Senior Management Vacancy where the successful applicant will play a pivotal role as Ryanair grow to 800+ aircraft & 300m guests by 2033. Over the last 4 years we have seen a seismic transformation of our ops control centre, where we have implemented a bridge & modular structure, delivered tech solutions & ensured that the Ryanair Group are fully crewed as we embark on a decade of growth

We now seek applicants for the role of Dept Director Flight Operations which reports to the Chief Operations Officer.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading and developing the Ops Control Centre
• Providing strategic direction to deliver operational excellence and OTP improvements
• Improving operational reliability and performance using technology to automate processes and drive data driven decision making
• Overseeing and improving the efficiency / productivity of our Flight Operations Department, including the Operations Control Centre
• Deliver improvements to our On Time Performance
• Leading and managing the pilot development & training process to ensure we are fully crewed for our needs as we ramp up for the MAX 10 introduction
• Overseeing the pilot budget and pilot sector pay

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent communication skills
• Strong numeracy and report writing skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage large, diverse teams
• Proven track record of problem solving and delivering efficiencies
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment where quick decision making is essential
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
