Job Summary:
Leucine’s mission is to bridge the gap between physical
hardware, such as PLCs and DCS, and advanced software systems like
LIMS, QMS, and SAP. The Integration Engineer will be responsible for
developing and implementing integration solutions between various
hardware devices and software applications. This role requires a deep
understanding of both hardware and software integration mechanisms, as
well as the ability to work with a variety of communication protocols and
programming languages.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Hardware Integration:
– Develop and maintain integrations with PLCs (Siemens, Allen
Bradley).
– Utilize TIA Portal and FactoryTalk for programming and
configuration.
– Implement communication protocols like Profinet, Modbus,
RS232.
2. Software Integration:
– Integrate software applications including LIMS, QMS, SAP
Hana, SAP ECC.
– Implement communication protocols using HTTP, SOAP,
Websocket, and UDP.
– Utilize OPC servers (Matrikon OPC, PTC OPC) and ensure
efficient data exchange.
3. Data Management & Historian Systems:
– Work with OSIPI and other historian systems to ensure accurate
and efficient data storage.
4. Hands-on Development:
– Develop solutions using Java, C++, HTML, and JavaScript.
– Use RPA tools such as Selenium and Microsoft Power Automate
to automate integrations.
5. Embedded System Integration:
– Work with ESP32 and Arduino-based boards for specific
applications.
6. Security & Authentication:
– Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) mechanisms in integration
solutions to enhance security.
– Implement IPSEC tunnels, VPC connections for secure premise-
cloud and private cloud-cloud communications.
– Hands on experience with Azure and AWS for achieving
tunneling.
7. Collaboration & Support:
– Collaborate with various internal teams to ensure efficient
integration solutions.
– Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for
integration issues.
8. Network Analysis:
– Utilize network sniffing tools like Wireshark to analyze and
troubleshoot communication protocols and network issues.
Required Qualifications:
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with PLCs, especially
Siemens and Allen Bradley.
• Proficiency in using TIA Portal and FactoryTalk.
• Hands-on experience with OPC, particularly Matrikon OPC and PTC
OPC servers.
• Knowledge of OSIPI and other historian systems.
• Experience with communication protocols: HTTP, SOAP, Websocket,
SSO, UDP, RS232, Profinet, Modbus.
• Proficiency with SAP Hana, SAP ECC, and LIMS.
• Familiarity with RPA tools (Selenium, Microsoft Power Automate).
• Understanding of microcontroller platforms (ESP32, Arduino).
• Skilled in Java, C++, HTML, and JavaScript.
• Experience with network sniffing and analysis using tools like
Wireshark.
Internship Duration: 4 months or till Graduation
