As a Technical Program Manager (TPM), you will support our High-Voltage Battery program within the Vehicle Engineering Powertrain team. Your role involves collaborating with our supplier partners to achieve our vehicle and company program milestones. You will work closely with engineers and suppliers to establish timelines for deliverables, identify and escalate risks, and develop mitigation plans. Additionally, you will assist with budget planning activities and effectively communicate progress to vehicle development management and the executive team. The TPM enhances the efficiency of the engineering team and focuses on improving processes to ensure that work is completed effectively.

In this role, you will:

You will communicate challenges and identify program risks while proactively developing mitigation plans in collaboration with the engineering team
You will develop schedules based on company milestones and ensure that projects remain on track
You will collaborate with internal and external cross-functional teams, as well as interface with suppliers and contract manufacturers, to resolve open questions and align expectations for timely delivery
You will establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments, and present them to the executive team
You will lead change management process coordination with all stakeholders
You will prepare and track a department budget forecast and reconcile with expenses

Qualifications

BS or MS in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
At least 10 years of experience, including 5 years in high voltage battery engineering and over 5 years in program management
Familiarity with electrical hardware product development and manufacturing processes, and demonstrated delivery of components with engineering design and development partners
Proven track record in managing complex cross-functional projects
Proficient in tools required to manage complex projects (i.e. JIRA, Gantt charts, ERP, PLM)

Compensation

There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $179,000 to $224,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
