Avania are hiring for the key role -  Lead Generation and Proposal Specialist

Location: Hybrid (Sydney Office - 2-3 Days; Remote - 2-3 Days)
Reports To: Country Manager

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Generation and Proposal Specialist to join our dynamic team at Avania. The main responsibility of this hybrid role is to coordinate the proposal development process and generate new business opportunities. This includes driving lead generation efforts through targeted sales campaigns, conducting market intelligence research, and crafting compelling outreach strategies. Additionally, the role will involve collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop cost and text proposals, ensuring high-quality client deliverables, and supporting the transition of awarded proposals to Project Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Proposal Development:

  • Coordinate the proposal development process across all key operational areas.
  • Collaborate with Avania's SMEs to develop proposal text, budgets, and deliverables tailored to client needs.
  • Prioritize client requests and ensure proposals align with client expectations and timelines.
  • Support the smooth transition of awarded proposals to Project Managers, including first-run revisions and cost/text negotiations.
  • Ensure proposals reflect the accurate scope of work and any changes in project requirements.

Lead Generation & Sales Support:

  • Conduct market intelligence research to identify new business opportunities.
  • Generate high-quality leads using various sales strategies, including cold calling, email outreach, and live sales pitches.
  • Create compelling outreach campaigns and sales presentations to engage potential clients.
  • Support the development and execution of sales initiatives aimed at increasing revenue.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong communication with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure clear and professional verbal and written communication in all client interactions.
  • Conduct cold calls and deliver live sales pitches to potential clients.
Create and present formal proposals and presentations to clients and prospects

We seek –

  • Relevant degree in life science or business preferred.
  • Min. 1-2 years of experience in lead generation, marketing, Business. development or equivalent preferably in healthcare or medical field.
  • Knowledge of medical device regulatory regulations and guidelines on medical devices.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and marketing tools.
  • Experience with data analysis and data literacy - experience in building tracking and monitoring processes and systems
  • Preferably previous experience in a CRO or similar environment.
  • Preferably up to 2 years of work experience with proposal management, project management or business development.
  • Excellent knowledge of relevant software (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Databases.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written)
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities/deadlines for deliverables ranging from low to moderate complexity.
  • Ability to participate in internal strategy meetings
  • Proven experience in proposal development, lead generation, and sales support.
  • Strong understanding of the proposal process and business development strategies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including cold calling, email outreach, and formal presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and subject matter experts.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Previous experience in a hybrid work environment is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Salary - $100k AUD excl Super
  • Location – NSW – Hybrid 2 days a week in Sydney office, 3 days remote
  • Working hours – 38hrs per week
  • AL – 20 days
