About the role
We are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Partner Manager to join our UK & Ireland Content department based in London, supporting our most prestigious podcasters’ in their long-term growth.
You will be given the autonomy to launch and grow our networks’ most promising podcasts, and trusted to manage and lead a roster of the most well-loved and in-demand shows in the UK.
As a member of the Partnerships team, you will be responsible for planning, executing and innovating imaginative launch plans for podcasts as they start, and finding new and inventive ways to keep podcasts growing over time. You’ll also be a central point of contact for podcasters and networks, helping them to navigate Acast’s teams and processes.
As well as an instinct for how to promote podcasts, and a strong knowledge and passion for podcasting yourself, you’ll be able to demonstrate a sensitivity to commercial opportunities and brands, and an appreciation of the rapidly evolving podcast landscape.
And as a global company, you’ll work hand in hand with Acast’s teams in the UK and around the world to learn from best practice, and ensure our podcasters succeed in all of our 15 markets. We’re looking for someone personable, motivated, highly organized who has experience working in the podcast industry. Most importantly - you must love podcasts. You will be based in our London office and report to the UK & Ireland Content Director.
What you will do
• Manage relationships with current and future podcasters in the UK - be that top talent, a production company, a talent agency, a bedroom podcaster or a major podcast network.
• Help creators to launch their podcasts, give editorial feedback where needed and help them develop and implement ways to grow their audiences.
• Be the day-to-day point of contact for our podcasters, helping to direct them to the right team for their query.
• Ensure that the sales teams globally have all the information they need to monetize Acast podcasts and help create sales assets to support sales
• Share ad-hoc reporting, analysis and research with the rest of the Content department.
• Occasionally join Content Development Managers when pitching to new podcasters.
• Guide and assist podcasters with integration into our systems.
Who you are
• We are seeking an experienced account manager with at least 3 years experience working in the podcast industry.
•Proficient knowledge and understanding of the UK podcast market, media sales and commercialisation of podcasts is a must.
•Experience in video content is advantageous but not essential.Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal, relationship management, communication and problem solving skills.
•Highly organized and capable of managing many different projects at once.
•Team player who is collaborative, driven, highly motivated and a real self-starter.
•A creative thinker, who is keen to push boundaries and experiment with new ideas, especially for marketing.
Acast has full flexible working, with no expectation of a set number of days in our Shoreditch office each week. This role does rely heavily on forging strong relationships with our podcast partners, so there is an expectation of frequent in-person London-based meetings as part of the day to day work of our department.
