Job Title: Cloud Cybersecurity Advisor

Program: Department of State - Advanced Data Analytics (ADD) Program
Overview:
As a Cloud Cybersecurity Advisor at Improvix, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on multi-cloud security strategies and practices across AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure environments for the U.S. Department of State’s ADD program. You will ensure the protection of sensitive information through the development and implementation of security measures, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and advising on risk management and mitigation strategies in cloud environments. This role requires an active Secret security clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud security frameworks across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Develop and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures for multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure cloud infrastructure, applications, and data management.
- Provide expert advice on risk management, security compliance (FISMA, NIST), and governance in cloud ecosystems.
- Conduct regular security assessments, audits, and incident response planning across AWS, GCP, and Azure platforms.
- Implement and manage security controls such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Oversee security operations for cloud platforms, including monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud-specific security threats.
- Stay updated on emerging cloud security trends and regulatory requirements to adjust strategies across multiple cloud platforms.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in cloud security and cybersecurity with in-depth knowledge of AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
- Expertise in cloud security technologies, cloud infrastructure security, and management of cloud resources.
- Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards such as FISMA, NIST 800-53, and FedRAMP.
- Strong knowledge of risk management, governance, and compliance in multi-cloud environments.
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Certifications such as Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), or Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC) preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to provide security advisement to leadership and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in government or regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, etc.).
- Knowledge of business processes, risk management strategies, and cloud-based analytical tools.
