Boulder Care is looking for Indiana based Nurse Practitioners who are aligned with Harm Reduction principles and have experience prescribing Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) for a 100% remote, full-time, W2 position.

- Have an active IN Nurse Practitioner license
- Have at least 1 year of experience prescribing Medication for Opioid Use Disorder in an outpatient setting
- Are interested in full-time work (40 hours a week) with a Monday-Friday schedule of 10am - 6pm Eastern Time.

About the role
- This position is 100% remote
- The Nurse Practitioner works directly with patients to deliver medication-assisted recovery for Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and empowers patients in their recovery journeys in coordination with the Care Team (primarily Care Advocates and Peer Recovery Specialists)
- Our clinicians deliver compassionate and empathetic telephonic, text-based, and video-based (telehealth) patient engagement and monitoring

Success in this role
Essential Functions - Patient Facing (80%)
- Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage ongoing support for individuals suffering from complex substance use disorders (SUDs) and related comorbidities
- Understands and incorporates harm reduction practices into patient care
- Elicit the patient’s goals for their recovery and help them in achieving these goals over time through a therapeutic alliance
- Educate patients on the Boulder model, SUDs and related comorbidities, recovery strategies, and safe use where necessary
- Coordinate with Medical Directors to develop and oversee treatment plans, adjusting them as needed
- Provide patient care coverage during some nonstandard hours, including evenings and weekends
- Effectively use technology to maximize the patient experience
- Interpret and share lab results with patients, without judgment, in order to help them meet their goals and stay safe
- Enable care coordination, connecting patients to clinical resources outside Boulder through referrals where necessary, working with Peer Recovery Specialists and Care Advocates to help patients access social resources and navigate the healthcare system
Essential Functions - Administrative (20%)
- Participate in Department and Company-wide meetings (ECHO, All Hands, Pod meetings, Care Team, etc.)
- Deliver proactive, clear, and constructive feedback and collaborate with Boulder’s Technology and Operations teams to troubleshoot as we continuously build out our digital treatment platforms
- Completes thorough chart notes within 24-hours of patient visit
- Regularly monitor relevant channels for updates, team communication, and patient care collaboration
- Understands and follows Boulder’s policies and procedures
Requirements for the role
- Minimum 1+ year of addiction treatment experience
- 3 or more years of clinical experience as an NP or RN preferred
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing and a graduate-level nurse practitioner program
- Demonstrated experience managing SUDs in a chronic care model through medication assisted recovery paired with social needs management in an NP capacity
- Specific experience transitioning individuals from illicit opioids to buprenorphine
- Proficiency in electronic medical records and video conferencing. (Experience with Google Suite or similar platform highly preferred)
- Must have the ability to gain approval for multiple state licenses and insurance company contracts (no significant legal or credentialing barriers/sanctions)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team; outstanding communication and collaboration
- Able to learn new technologies quickly
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills; able to prioritize effectively
- A dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet to maintain a secure, distraction-free environment, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Expected hours of work
- 40 hours per week (salaried)
- Monday-Friday, 10am to 6pm Eastern Time
Compensation
- Pay range: $130,000 - $140,000 (determined by several factors including your relevant skills, education, and experience)
