Hire Resolve is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our clients team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the growth and success of Hire Resolve.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop country-specific business plans and strategies for SOILL branded products in targeted African nations.
  • Establish and oversee in-country agents responsible for Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Coordinate regular meetings with the agent's teams to communicate company strategy, review business KPIs, discuss regional opportunities and threats, conduct trainings, and provide updates.
  • Allocate sales, distribution, and marketing targets to agents based on business objectives and monitor progress consistently.
  • Provide execution trainings, on-the-job coaching, and support to agents and their teams.
  • Conduct regular trade visits with agents to coach and capitalize on distribution and execution opportunities.
  • Analyze regional opportunities and take necessary actions for implementation.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with top wholesalers, retailers, and HORECA customers.
  • Develop initiatives to drive sales targets, reach, and execution across all channels.
  • Ensure agents fully understand and implement SOILL execution and merchandising standards.
  • Establish systems to track and benchmark agents against key initiatives and goals.
  • Act as a credible FMCG business consultant to agents and customers, offering specialized field expertise.
  • Manage assigned budgets to support business strategy.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of all relevant SOILL systems.
  • Utilize available reports to maximize opportunities, including competitor intelligence.
  • Hold agents accountable for timely and accurate data submission into SOILL systems.
  • Develop expertise in the geographic and demographic areas within the assigned territory.

Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Commerce preferred
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in FMCG - Essential
  • 2 years relevant experience in servicing African market
  • Working experience in commodity market would be advantageous
  • Well established business relationships in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia,
    Mozambique, and Swaziland
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Relevant key account management experience coupled with distributor and supplier
    management experience
  • Knowledge of French and Portuguese would be advantageous
  • This role will require travel
